French shares gain 0.36 pct on Tuesday

PARIS, April 13 (Xinhua) -- French shares edged up on Tuesday with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 0.36 percent, or 22.42 points, to close at 6,184.10 points.

A total of 27 of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.

French media conglomerate Vivendi SA advanced 2.46 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. French multinational advertising and public relations company Publicis Groupe rose 2.04 percent and French omnichannel company Teleperformance gained 2.03 percent.

French multinational automobile manufacturer Renault lost 1.83 percent. French multinational electric utility company Engie went down by 1.54 percent. European multinational aerospace corporation Airbus lost 1.50 percent.
